SlotKeeper.
Booking That Just Works.
A fully customisable resource booking system for WordPress. Nets, courts, studios, meeting rooms, equipment—anything with a slot and a queue of people who want it.
Built by Spark Systems. Battle-tested by a real cricket club, all season, every season.
Installation is one plugin upload and one shortcode. That's the entire setup.
[slotkeeper]Because Every Booking Plugin Was Wrong
Too bloated, too expensive, too generic, or hiding half the features behind a subscription. We needed something that handled multiple resources, half-hour slots, group sessions and admin blackouts—without a monthly bill per booking. So we built it.
Genuinely Fast
A single lightweight plugin with its own REST API and no third-party dependencies. No page builder required, no ten-megabyte framework, no slowing your site to a crawl.
Customisable End to End
Resource names, booking window, opening and closing hours, how far ahead people can book, brand colour, sender name, confirmation email copy—all configurable from the admin screen.
Proper Permissions
A dedicated SlotKeeper Admin role means you can hand booking management to a volunteer or receptionist without giving them the keys to the whole WordPress site.
Automated Notifications
Branded HTML confirmations to the person booking, and instant alerts to your admin address. Emails also fire automatically on amendments, cancellations and when someone joins a session.
Attendees & Group Sessions
People can join an existing booking rather than creating a competing one. Ideal for shared net sessions, group classes and anything where a slot holds more than one person.
Full Audit History
Every create, amend and cancel is recorded with a timestamp and a snapshot. When someone insists they never booked it, you have the receipt.
Self-Service Bookings, Zero Admin Overhead
Every booking gets a short reference code. Users can amend or cancel their own booking with it—no login required, no email to your committee, no spreadsheet to update.
Bookings can be public or private. Public bookings show on the grid so others can see availability and join in; private ones stay discreet. Users choose whether their name is displayed at all.
Half-hour granularity, multi-resource selection, adult and junior categorisation, and configurable duration—it handles the awkward real-world cases most plugins pretend don't exist.
What Users Can Do Themselves
- Book one or multiple resources in a single slot
- Amend their booking with a reference code
- Cancel without contacting anyone
- Join an existing public session as an attendee
- Choose public or private visibility
- Hide their name from the public grid
What Admins Control
- Define any number of named resources
- Set opening hours and booking window
- Limit how far ahead bookings can be made
- Block out dates and times for maintenance
- Create, amend and cancel any booking
- Toggle confirmation and notification emails
- Set brand colour and sender name
- Edit confirmation email content directly
Total Control, No Code
The admin screen exposes everything. Add a fourth net, change your closing time, block the whole weekend for a tournament, or rebrand the confirmation emails—all without touching a line of PHP.
Blackout periods span date ranges and specific hours, per resource. So you can close Net 3 for repairs on Tuesday afternoons while everything else carries on booking normally.
There's a full-screen display template too, ready for a wall-mounted screen or tablet at your venue showing the day's bookings at a glance.
